Equilibri - Interactive Scupltures
In December 2021 I collaborated with the Italian artist and sculptor Tiziana Battaglia to create an interactive exhibition based on her sculptures. The “Equilibri” exhibition was first displayed in the contemporary art museum of Palazzo Riso in Palermo, in December 2021.
Sponsored by the Unione Italiana dei Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti (Italian Union of Blind and Partially Sighted People), from an idea of Tiziana Battaglia, and with the help of Francesco Catania, I augmented some of Tiziana’s pieces of art, adding interaction sensors that allow the user, when touching the sculptures, to specific trigger sounds.
Letting the audience have the possibility to explore the scupltures was the main focus of the exhibition, to augment their experience involving their less used (for the art exhibition context) senses, and creating a new experience, always different and evolving based on the number and activity of the visitors.
